D415-167
16-09-24 - The abbey, from the road into town.

D415-179
16-09-24 - A rest in town. Horn-of-plenty Beer. For some, "Beer-of-plenty-horny"? But I can't speak for the others. Could it be the godess Isis? Might she be depicted with horn-of-plenty and a diadem of snakes or horns peeking out of her hairdo? Or could it be the Ptolomaic queen, Arsinoe II? Anyway, looks like a modern Italian knockoff of a Roman knockoff of an ancient original. Better than garden gnomes.

In transit through Pisa.
