A dome-shaped nylon tarp that is supposed to conduct electricity
harmlessly to the ground. My Physics 101 background suggest that
this device was conceived as a sort of Faraday cage. The inside
of a staticly charged object has zero charge because the surface
electrons all repell each other equally, and stay as far apart
as possible. Mmmm. Comforting theory.
