D462-093 17-10-01 - Oh, hey. I just love the subtle interaction of blue and buff.

D462-095 17-10-01 - Has this issue been pandiculated enough?

D462-096 17-10-01 - We wait for transport. In the pleasant square on the right. Derek scouts out interesting architectural details.

D462-104 17-10-01 -

D462-098 17-10-01 -

D462-100 17-10-01 - Interesting how the top balcony seems to over-ride the lower. Do the lower eschelons of the family come out on the lower to address the street, only to be over-ridden by some overbearing paterfamilias on the upper?

D462-101 17-10-01 - Here I get associations with that famous high-school anthology story "The lady or the tiger." I'm imagining someone forced to make a choice between those three doors, knowing only that one conceals his heart's desire, while the other two offer Death and Dismemberment. OK, not necessarily D'n'D, this is a cheerful trek that we're supposed to be on. Say instead, the chilling promise of torrential rain and missed buses.

D462-102 17-10-01 - Further down the street. Surprise! An opera house.

D462-103 17-10-01 - In Maltese Arabic, or Italian?

D462-107 17-10-01 - Portulaca cat.

D462-108 17-10-01 -

D462-109 17-10-01 - Classy cumulus on the busride back.

D462-111 17-10-01 -

D462-113 17-10-01 - Rooftop banquet. Our hotel's last rooftop dining session for the season. The weather was perfect.

D462-115 17-10-01 - Dinner with a view.
