14-10-26 - First bonfire in a long while. Heard on Tudor Farm TVO doc last night, that "bonfire" comes from "bone fire". Intended to ward off evil influences, by the smell of burning bones. ... Have never tested that notion. Certainly not in the living room.
14-10-30 - Sunbeam on Dorothy Warren painting. A pleasant wakeup. At this season, with the leaves down, we get sunshine in our bedroom window by 10am. Lovely if we stay in bed that long.
