D175-002
07-03-04 - Our fave motel, compare ... Oneida trip. Stayed at this motel just off Hwy 401. Thought there might be a resemblance to my Fort Erie picture of the concrete structure on the beach.

2007-03-09 - Woodside. Squirrel-trampled, Woodside Dr. Where did the phrase "Turk-trampled", referring to Mt. Olympus come from. Never did get back my guide book from some former temple member. Net?

2007-03-11 - Rodman Hall.

D175-011
07-03-11 - I like this effect. An old style of picture hanging, under-used today. Find a picture from the period of Angelika Kaufmann, showing paintings all the way up the wall of the gallery.

D175-012

07-03-17 - Could use this as a stage setting for Aphrodite, etc.

D175-015
07-03-17 - A venue for a goddess to appear? Assuming the rector doesn't mind public nudity.

07-03-18 - What Mrs Simcoe saw, Queenston Hts. Need a scan of Mrs. Simcoe's sketch. Did she use this exact viewpoint?

D428-022
- Mrs. Simcoe, sketch. The viewpoint looks a bit higher. Was she up a tree? The mouth of the Niagara River is almost visible.

D175-037
07-03-18 - What Mrs Simcoe saw, Queenston Hts. Derek has an "issue" with his fellow tree-huggers: Why the heck don't park maintenance people clear a few weedy trees and brushwood away from the more important viewpoints. He once suggested this at a Bruce Trail meeting and was ostracized for the rest of the evening. He has told me that he will volunteer to serve as unpaid scenic consultant to the Niagara Parks Commission. (Just experimenting with Julius Caesar third person narration.)

D175-039
07-03-18 - Opposite Queenston, American territory. With trails leading down from Artpark to the water's edge. Somewhere along here a scenic railway used to run until it was closed by falling rock, and presumeably, falling profitability.

D175-041
